  • The Lithuanian alphabet will be familiar enough for anyone coming from a language written in the Latin alphabet, but does include many diacritics (for example, Ę, Ą, Ė, Į ) 
  •  Pitch accent is an important feature, much like Finnish or Japanese
  • Lithuanian inflection can be complicated. There are two genders and nouns have seven noun cases.
